This is the same Coop as the one Jimmy posted the other day. We had alot of fun with this hawk. This was the cleanest angle I could get. I don't have any pics of hawks so I'll take all I got from yesterday.

Ian:

Amazingly crisp, especially with all that stacking going on. And you got a nice alert expression on the face. Hawks are a lot of fun. Keep at it and you'll find one in a nicer perch with a better sky.

Incredibly sharp - stacked converters or no.
I would say you have at least one pic of a hawk now and now that you have a taste for them I'm sure there will be more good things to come. :)

WOW, that is sharp for stacked converters. Must have had a nice fast shutter speed. Can't wait to see more.

Very sharp Ian... cool bird. I don't particularly care for the high key BG, but what can you do, right? ;)

A well done high key image. You did well getting tight enough to make this work at all.

Great shot, any shot of a Coopers Hawk sitting still for any length of time is defienitely a keeper.

Squeaky clean and crisp. I am flabergasted that you nailed this with the stack. I have found that a 1.4 and 2X combined can really be hard to nail. Thus I avoid that but you clearly did a nice job with it
