Shot this one at Pt. Pelee in the 3rd week of May this year (after all the other photographers had left). Croped from horizontal, minor cloning of leaves.

Ken:

A nice intimate look at a rather difficult bird. I like this a lot. Good use of flash so everything looks very natural.
I would like to see the perch burned a couple steps darker, and the bird itself could be just a little bit snappier

Very nice shot. I haven't had any luck getting one of these guys to sit still - well done. It appears that the shoulder is a little soft probably from the bird flinching when the flash went off. It is a little tight at the bottom and I would clone out the flash reflection in the eye. The suns catch light is much nicer. All is all a very nice image.

Wonderful morsel and excellent exposure in spite of the harsh light, nice detail and color, I would clone out the flash catchlite for better balance, otherwise very nice!! Congrats!! 8)

I took out the flash hi Light as suggested, running out of web space to repost so reposted the original. Thanks.

Wonderful capture of this pewee, Ken. I like that the pale lower mandible is evident.

Pretty shot. I agree with Alan on the tightness. I like the background and the perch, very nice.

I love this. Terrific detail. I've yet to learn the phrase "harsh light" ( I've gotten that critique as well) On my monitor, it appears a quiet deep cyan. *shrugging* :)
