Here's my first post to NSN and a late entry to this week's motif.
Details Canon 10D 300F2.8IS 1/3000 @f4.5 ISO 200 Absolutely pushed focus speed of 10D to the wall. Hope you enjoy.

I like the pose of the bird and I like the water colors - I'd like to see the bird with a little more room on the right side, perhaps and a little less detail in the feathers. But that reflected color is really nice.

I've actually have some better compositions, but the 10D couldn't focus lock. They were diving into the area at mach speed. Wish I had a 1D :(

Me too, I pushed the shutter at the first sign of a bird entering the frame. The lag is the 10D.

I agree with moving the bird to the left in the frame. Still you did very well with the sharpness and the color background.
