At least I think it is :)
I was waiting at least one hour till the big feather bunch in the middle of the sand decided to wake up, it was too big for a duck or a goose, but once he was up my first thought was : a brown swan !

Monique, I am packed and ready to go, I may not look like much but I am well behaved and can grow on you like a fungus, with no cure for it!!!

Pretty neat pose Monique! I like the feather detail in the bird but really like it with quite a bit cropped off the top. Cropping just above the second puddle up from the bird points the bird's bill to the left hand corner which I like. :)

Moca, some nice graphic elements in this image. Looks like he just pooped or is he angry at someone?

Good timing to get him in this pose. I would agree about the crop, but the exposure is right on.

You have a good exposure here. I, too would like a different crop.

Of course you are all right, cropped is much better, that was also my first

I like your cropped version better. There are four light spots on the ground that are a touch distracting, an easy fix in PhotoShop if you are inclined to do so. Nice catch of the bird, it's nice and sharp. My rule of thumb - I don't care if I can ID it, I just want to get the shot and ask questions later! Birds are so fun to be around.
