I love the composition in this one and the blue sky makes for a beautiful BG.

Bill, love the blue sky. This is a good comp. The light looks high leaving little detail under the bird. Fill flash would have helped here. The angle is a little steep but an appealing image.

Thanks Alan, you are very observant! Yes, I should have photographed this bird in the early morning to get the light where it should have been. I never use fill flash, although I know that others do. I guess you might say that I like natural light when I can get it and that it is more of a challenge to find it. Best regards,

Beautiful blue sky and nice crisp image. I agree that the angle is a little too steep for me.

Bill,
maybe 1/5 from that lovely blue sky more on top, should give the bird
more space to look in.
Monique, I am packed and ready to go, I may not look like much but I am well behaved and can grow on you like a fungus, with no cure for it!!!

I agree, why didn't I think of that? Actually, I did, but was a tad concerned about keeping the shot as landscape as possible since I cropped out a branch on the right that was a distractor. You suggestion will greatly improve the final print. Thanks a bunch.
