Snow Geese, Bosque del Apache NWR, New Mexico

Been busy lately and not much time to post, though I tried to cover at least the first page tonight commenting on each image. There is some great stuff being posted!

I am very much looking forward to returning to Bosque this year as always. I am especially looking forward to meeting some NatureScapers for our get-together the first weekend.

While there is much more to Bosque in the winter than snow geese they are usually the main attraction come sunrise. While waiting for the birds to take flight I shot this with the wide angle as the sun came up over the mountains.

Some mornings are not as colorful as others but this particular morning was enhanced with a BG polarizer. ;)

EOS 1D, EF 17-35/2.8L, BG Polarizer, 1/50th @ F8, ISO 400

Wow. I really didn't expect anything this dramatic when I read the title. This is just breathtakingly gorgeous.

Excellent shot -- looks like the BG polarizer was just the ticket! Very nicely done.

Oh, what a great sunrise shot. The sky looks like it's on fire. This is something that I just have to see. Great job....and thanks for taking the time for all the posting......I know how hard it is to find time to do everything.

An excellent shot - love the clouds and colors - I have many pictures with that dead tree in it too and wish it wasn't there :)
