American Wigeon Anas americana

This is one of the Wigeons that Sheri mentioned in her post. When these ducks came around the corner they were going north, the Grebe was going south, and there were Shovelers all around. The light was getting sweeter by the minute. So many subjects, so little time.

My self-critique would include the duck being higher in the frame. What do you think?

I think I love this image. :) These little ducks have such cute personalities! The liquid gold water is beautiful although I would love to see the entire reflection.

Bill, lovely duck and great light. I agree with higher in the frame primarily because I'd prefer a full reflection.

Higher in the frame with the full reflrection would be better. But, I would have a hard time believing the duck and the water color could possibly be better.

Beautiful Bill. I agree it could be higher in the frame. I love the color of the background.

Water to die for. Great pose on the bird. a little low, but I'd take it in a second.

While the entire reflection would be nice, it's not that essential to this fine image. Excellent with or without the reflection.

Nice one Bill. :D A little higher to include the reflection and just a tiny bit more tail room on the right. Belmar rocks! The color of the water is to die for. Please send me some.

A little higher would be nice but this one has such great detail and rich colors that it seems less important. That water and light you have out there is incredible....and it doesn't hurt having a ready supply of beautiful ducks to pass by, either. Excellent.

Yes, a little higher in the frame to get the entire reflection would have been nice. However, this is a killer shot as is. The light was definitely sweet and the detail is marvelous.

Bill,

Higher might be better, but it's a nice shot just the way it is. The light and the water color are wonderful. I like the inquisitive look.

You really captured a sweet one! Beautiful light, wonderful detail.I think I agree that I would like it just a little up in the frame, though I probably would not have noticed had you not mentioned it.

Very nice! Your self critique is right on as the full reflection would be better. Great light and fabulous water. Nice job.

Gorgeous Bill. The critiques including your own are right on. The color of the water is really dramatic. Outstanding.
