Well , this is my first post here. I've been busy with a new job, and the baby. The past few months have been crazy and I havnt had much time to go shoot. It even got the the point where I sold my 500mm f4 IS , but I couldnt take it anymore, so now I'm making time to get out and I just purchased another 500mm.

I've been lurking here for a while and I'm glad see all the familiar faces. I figured after getting out for a few hours the past couple of weekends I'd post something to try and get back into the mix.

Thanks for looking.

Ian,

This is excellent. The background colors are great. I really like how the Egret emerges from the grasses.

Very nice in many ways. Excellent compostion which shows how amazingly long these necks can extend. Good light and nice BG color. Good DOF

I hope I never get so busy I need to sell my lens. I'll sell it when I get a better, newer one. :) Nice neck stretch and background.

Welcome and very nice first post. I would prefer a little more room at the bottom but this also works. I look forward to seeing more!
