The male goldfinch's have now molted into their breeding plumage, although they are actually a summer nester. This one was enjoying to-days fine weather, the warmest day I believe since about October- ( 70 F. or 20 C.). Nice to finally see some green, and a few plants in bloom. ( Great to be able to open a window,  after six months !). Maple tree buds, on his perch.

He looks all pumped up and ready for action Paul. The buds add a nice point of interest. You had your first day of 20c we had our last day. Its meant to get cooler here.

Smashing pose and eye contact Paul. Refreshing to see one of the "other" Goldfinches. Always beautiful.

Great eye contact and spring mood. Migration is in full swing here, the birds should arrive in your area soon.

He is very well dressed and posing nicely for you. A few of ours are in complete molt, but most aren't quite there yet.
