R5II, RF600f4, 1.4x, 1/8000s. f/6.3, ISO 2500, manual

Photographed locally, interesting to see that there is a little bit of motion blur in the wing tips despite the high shutter speed. Please click on image for a larger version.

maybe human camera shack but none the less it's a good capture and fully extended position, AXEL.

Amazing image. I like the wing position and shape and the nice head turn.

Lovely capture Axel, pity about the motion blur - I wonder if the R1 would yield a better result.

Thanks, Sinuhe! I don't think it's a limitation of the camera, the Bluebird was just flapping really fast. Normally, 1/6400 is fast enough to freeze wings of small birds, surprisingly here even 1/8000 was not enough. Personally, I don't mind a little wing blur as it emphasizes the speed of the birds.

I don't think that some slight blurring of the wing tips, detracts from the quality of this image, Axel, so another excellent Bluebird photo, from your series.
