Tree Swallow

R5II, 600f4, 1.4x, 1/6400s, f/6.3, ISO 3200, manual

Photographed at a local lake, and always great to see them return. Some Tree Swallows have been around for three weeks but they were mostly scouting. Now they are choosing nesting places and are already mating.

Just fantastic Axel!  You are killing it with all these flight images. You should be giving workshops on your BIF techniques, because it sure does work well for you.

A special time, when the Swallows return. I'm sure you will be out taking more fine images of them, once again, as the season progresses, Axel.

Awesome flight shot. I like the head turn and the colours on the back.

It looks a bit fat :-).
Maybe it was cold and it puffed up its feathers.

I am noting your settings for such a fine capture. I wish I knew how you do this with a manual setting- very fast on the draw! Swallows are soooo fast...and so are you! :)
