CANON R7
CANON 100-500RF @ 500mm
f7.1 @ 1/1250
ISO 320

This species has a very restricted range in Canada, and I've only seen a few over the years, during the Spring migration. They are usually higher up in trees, and not heard too well, as their voice is very high pitched. Their drab colouration, and constant movement, also make them challenging to observe and photograph. Always special to see one.

Province of Ontario, Canada, image- May, 2024.
Thanks to everyone for viewing.

Nice to see this one- they are elusive here too. You got all the essential details. Thanks for this! Looking forward to spring migration.

Nice sighting Paul of this elusive Gnatcatcher. Won't be long before Spring shows its face.

Looks to have very delicate colouring on the underside and belly area and the eye is prominent too. It's a nice feeling when you get a hard to find bird in your sights Paul. You got a great pose.

Great shot, I like that slight angle from below as this is often how we see birds.
