I HEADED OUT TODAY HOPING TO SPOT ONE OR TWO SAW-WHET OWLS AND TO MY LUCKY DAY, CAME UPON THIS LITTLE MORE RARE BOREAL OWL, BACK OUT TOMORROW BEFORE THE WEEKEND COMES.

Great find, great image. It was Amherst Island my lucky spot, also one just outside of Ottawa.

Great species to have a chance at photographing. I have only ever seen one immature Boreal Owl. I wish it was a cleaner view of him.
