Taken in April 2024. We seem to get late snowstorms  late in the year these days. This female is in full breeding plumage with her bright beak.

She and I wish you a Happy New Year, with many more  delightful birds to  bring us all joy.

CYNTHIA, you are living ahead of your time by a bit (4 months) or you have a crystal ball at hand and I like the take on this one with snow and all with-in the image, way to go.

p.s. thanks for the name change on the redpolls.

Always interesting to see a bird in breeding plumage in a snowy setting, Cindy. Happy New Year to you, too!
