Here he is in all his glory singing to proclaim territory. He will keep his breeding plumage until the breeding season is finished. The Alpha pair will have two to three batches of young and last seasons chicks will help with the feeding. 
Here you can see how small they are as he is down on the ground looking for insects. They love spiders.

Wonderful image with the detail captured on the Wren, and the blue background, compliments the blues on the Wren very well. Always special to capture in a singing pose, Kim.
