There is no difference between the sexes and no change in appearance when breeding. They are on the move all the time except when breeding and usually in a small flock. They are not real swallows but are related to the Australian magpie. They are nesting now in my area, This was shot about 200 km from my home on a recent 4 day break.
Nikon Z8 with 600 pf 6.3 lens. 1.4 TC shot in DX mode to give a reach of 1260mm 1/2500, F9, ISO 4000. Manual, HH. |
