Last night I counted fifteen Great Egrets on this little Pond. They did not do anything just sleeping mostly. I could hardly wait to go back this morning and take some lost shots of the season. They were all gone. I did not realize that they just gathered and waited for the night fall to take off and heading South.
I wish them good migration. One shot a bit earlier.

KARL, you nailed this one perfectly and the added fall colours is a bonus.

Another beauty Karl. Gorgeous shot! Very inconsiderate of them to shoot off south.

The colour palette is lovely Karl, really sets off the flying bird and you have kept enough detail in the whites.

Great pose, eye contact and fall colors in the background, Karl.

Nice flight pose, but love that warm background colors. They set the egret off nicely.

Great that you at least got this beautiful shot. Fall migration can be SO fussy. Here today, gone tomorrow!
