I have been travelling a lot and busy with many things.  I finally got a chance to process some from around our Corning NY house.  Gail has this interesting plant called a red hot poker AKA Kniphofia. However, I was lucky enough to observe and capture an image of a hummingbird feeding from it. A few days later the hummers migrated away.  As always, click on image to see details.

Cool-looking flower, Ed, makes the hummingbird look quite small in comparison.

An amazing site with the flower demonstrating the diminutive size of the hummer. TFS Ed.

A fine image, Ed, always nice to see Hummingbird photographs here on Naturescapes. The flower is quite striking for it's colour and shape, plus a nice background captured here, as well. ( Have not had any success photographing Hummingbirds at the Poker flowers, where I am in Ontario, but I know they will feed at them, at times).

A fun shot showing this little hummer with big ambitions. I hope she doesn't get lost in there :)
