 CANON 100-500RF @ 300mm f7.1 @ 1/3200 ISO 800 Saturday September 7, is National Hummingbird Day, so this image is for that day. This juvenile male, was feeding at the favourite flowering plant, among many other plants at this location, the Black and Bloom Salvia. Soon, the juvenile hummingbirds will be heading South to their winter home in the Tropics ( the adults have left some time ago), but always special to observe and photograph the hummingbirds when they are here ( May- Sept).
