 CANON 100-500RF @ 300mm f6.3@ 1/80 ISO 1600 This female was feeding at a Penstemon flower, in the early summer-(June 15). Most of the flowering plants have finished blooming now for this year, and that usually coincides with the hummingbirds having gone South, although some ( adult males), will often leave much earlier. There is still one ( juvenile female), that I see daily, but any day now that will end. Always special to see the first one in May, and then it's September, and rather disappointing when the last one is gone. Hopefully some decent images taken, as a reminder of this years' Hummingbirds.
