Last time I saw this bird was forty years ago when I lived in Alberta. It was good to see an old friend again this time in Manitoba at my younger son's 
house.

I agree! and yes, we have several around here we could spare before they raid all the little bird nests, but they are such characters and so smart with their black and white colouring.

they stop at the Manitoba bounder more or less and as the saying goes what goes around comes around, well captured KARL.

Very nice image, Karl. ( The last time I saw this species was 50 years ago, when I was a teenager living in Alberta, we had them in our backyard at times).
