I am still going through images from this summer.  This image is of one of our hummers feeding from our butterfly bush in our Corning NY backyard. Image from September.  I particularly like the symmetry. Shot with R5 and RF 100-500 at 500. Please click on image to see details.

A wonderful image, Ed- everything looks great here ! ( I was wondering if you use electronic or mechanical shutter mode for Hummingbird photography? We hear about rolling shutter effect with electronic shutter, but no sign of it here- whatever your setting, certainly a fine photo).

Thanks Paul.  Mechanical shutter, 1/2000 f 7.1, ISO 6400 handheld cropped about 60% of original.

Glorious image of this tiny hummer, Ed! I love it when they're captured in this pose - just shows their amazing agility.

Ed, Normally see hummingbird photos with the hummer flying up toward the flower. Like seeing one flying down to the flower. Don't have a mirrorless camera but read somewhere that images are slightly sharper using the electronic shutter because there's no movement inside the camera.
