Ruby-throated Hummingbird ( Adult Male )

I generally don't see the adult males as frequently as the adult females, but there was one at this location during the summer.
He was feeding at a Salvia plant, certainly the favourite flowering plant among many other types to choose from. If the angle is just right to the viewer, the gorget, ( throat ), can appear to glow, although generally, it shows as a dull reddish- black colour.
Quite an impressive show, when this occurs, however it only lasts a very short duration,when the light and angle change.

that is a different look at the hummingbird angle here but it's very grainy on the left hand side of image PAUL.
