Pileated Woodpecker.

It is quite unusual to see a Pileated Woodpecker feeding on berries. They might be called wild grapes.

I like the position of this woodpecker that he gave you with the added bg colours works well here.

Certainly a very unique pose captured here, Karl- I wasn't aware that they fed on berries, but your photo shows us very clearly, that does occur.

I posted it on Ontario Birds as well and one person stated that he had seen this happening this time of the year. Harvest time for them.
