CANON 90D
TAMRON 150-600mm
F 7.1 @ 1/800
ISO 1250

Focal length 309 mm

Despite being covered with a great many flowers during the summer,
the Hummingbirds are somewhat indifferent to this Trumpet Vine, although on occasion, one like this one ( juvenile female- I believe),
will feed there. I can't recall any Hummingbird images that I have taken in the past showing the tongue in flight, however it was just luck to capture that moment- but perhaps it adds something different, to the photo.

Province of Ontario, Canada, image - late July.

Paul, Good job nabbing this one. I don't photograph Hummers, but I have heard that people will fill the trumpet vine flower with sugar water to draw the Hummers to a specific location?
