Golden Bowerbird (Prionodura newtoniana) showing it's least golden view from behind. He is on his bower, constructed from twigs on either side of the display perch, and maintained for decades, probably over generations of birds. The lichens and fruits are decorated in breeding season, there should also be flowers but there may be nothing in bloom, or too early in the season... Unique to a very restricted range in the Wet Tropics of Far North Queensland, and only above about 1000m.
