R5, RF600f4, 2x, 1/3200s, f/8, ISO 2000, manual

I was wondering how well the 2x RF extender would work for birds in flight and was surprised that it focuses faster than the EF version.

This Barn Swallow was about to dive, looks almost like a mini Osprey. :)

Wow - I can't tell you how many times I've tried shots like this; my *best* ones could be used as ID / record shots. THIS is what I visualize. . . . (although, personally, I'd add a little more water on the left and below - again, personal taste).
Good light,

Fantastic! Love the wings back and stretched out neck, ready to dive. Beautiful light and water.

Axel, A real tribute to the autofocus that it still focuses so well with a 2X, especially with the water background so close to the bird. Well Done.
