Lovely pose and composition Craig. Not a nit as a choice, but upping the iso would have given more ss which is always a trade off with IQ. (considering I weaned on ISO 64 and 50, we are looking at images we just wouldn't have got 20 years ago, so good job).

Great find and nice to see one on the ground, the perch adds to it.

Thanks, David.
Yeah, I'm still somewhat in the Velvia 50 pushed to 100 mindset; I do think I see a significant drop off in IQ (for fine detail) after 1600 (on my body, with my skillset).  If this were a Kirtland's Warbler, I'd be all over pushing up the ISO for a record shot, but I have plenty of files (gathering ether-dust, doing nothing), of this sp, so I'm just shooting for fun.

Light must have been very low, based on the shutter speed. Nice image, love the perch.
