Oops, she left her hair in curlers!

I don't do a lot of bird photography, but have fun dabbling now and then. These guys were sitting along the Anhinga Trail last March.

The Black Vulture is one of the most beautiful birds in the world. Danny, this head shot makes my heart take wing.

Awesome detail. I like the bright bg with the black head. Nice choice of composition and crop. You should do more birds!!

Danny, Glamorous would not be the first word that would come to mind. However fantastic detail and great composition. Well done.

Great shot, love the bird's detail and the beautiful green background! We found the Black Vultures at Anhinga Trail in March to be most cooperative.

Accurate, sharp, and impeccable detail perhaps, but "lovely" isn't one that leaps to my mind :)

Great job!

Cool indeed, I love the detail and the curly feathers. Brilliant face, beautiful in its "uglyness"

I don't think I've ever seen so much detail in one of these guys heads. Cool shot.

I think we may have a little different definition of glamour. ;)

Love the composition and the detail. That you've got one with an unscratched beak is a big plus for me.

Danny,

Like you I am not an Avian photographer and I rarely photograph birds or comment on them. But I do like the detail in this image.
