Ruby-throated Hummingbird ( Female )

This female was approaching a Salvia plant, although very often the hummingbirds would not feed, but would approach and then fly off.
They can be unpredictable in their feeding behaviour, with other plant species as well, from my obsevations, so everyday can be different.

I like the way the slight blurriness of the wings suggests their movement while the rest of the bird is pin sharp. Great image.

Beautifully composed. Love the way you used the shutter speed to control the motion of the wings. Anything slower would have blurred and faster could have frozen. Superb
