Ruby-throated Hummingbird ( Female )

This hummingbird was feeding at a Columbine, which is a wildflower, and an early bloomer ( mid to end of May ). Some days the hummingbird(s) showed interest in these flowers, other times they would fly past, or look and then fly away. Regardless of their interest, they are only at the flowers for a few seconds, and of course no way of knowing when or if a hummingbird will appear.
Despite these conditions, it's always great to see them arrive in the spring.

Great image, excellent composition. I usually use 1/4000 s for Hummingbirds, if the light is good.
