CANON 90D
CANON 400mm f 5.6 L F8 @ 1/1000 ISO 640 The bobolink is certainly a well traveled species, as it spends the winter primarily in Argentina, and then flies north for the breeding season - about 6000 miles ( 10,000 KM ) one way to my location in Southern Canada. Quite an interesting colour combination for the male in breeding plumage ( females plain brownish ), and an impressive set of perching claws, as well. Somewhat limited in their breeding range here, as they require grasslands or natural fields, however there is such an area close to my home, where this image was taken. Province of Ontario, Canada, image - May 2022. Thanks to everyone for viewing Click on for best image. |
