Still no fledglings to be seen, the parents are very diligent guarding and feeding their offspring.

You seem to have mastered in flight Woodpecker photography, Axel, many outstanding images previously, plus this new image, as well.

The wings mostly up pose does a nice job showing off this striking bird t the fullest. Well done and good luck with the nest site. It can seem like a very long time before woodpecker fledglings show themselves at the nest and a short time before they leave. Hope for good weather.

I think you have mastered many different birds in flight, Axel! Terns, Swallows/Martins, Woodpeckers, Harriers...............just to name a few!! This is another wonderful capture.
