The Snares Penguin (Eudyptes robustus) is endemic to New Zealand, only breeding on the sub-Antarctic Snares Islands, where this image was captured. They climb up some ridiculously steep rock faces to their nests.
ISO640, 214mm, f5, 1/1250, by Canon from zodiac. This was taken in December 2016, but it is a quiet season in the Wet Tropics, so recovering some old files from a corrupted disc. |
