I did some Hummingbird shooting today among other birds.
The flower is a wild blue Indigo.
The Hummingbird was hovering above my wife for a few second and we found out why;
she had a similar color blue top on. LOL.

A wonderful image, Karl- perhaps my favourite type of bird photography. I believe that you had some images taken last season, of hummingbirds at those Indigo flowers, which were also excellent. You certainly have found a prime location, and some cooperative hummingbirds. Quite a unique pose captured here with the curved body- a pleasure to view !

Thanks Paul. You have excellent memory. I know two places good for Hummingbirds, one is here in Guelph The other is in Burlington. Hummingbird photography is very challenging but which Bird photography isn't.

Terrific close up Karl. Great job with the wife's blue top as a lure...

I like the arched position that he gave you and the sharpness pick-up even his feet, well done KARL.

I love that Z bend pose, Karl! Beautiful capture with the little hummer exploring those gorgeous Indigo flowers.

Terrific looking hummingbird shot in a beautiful setting. The great pose and interesting color of the flowers all make for a beautiful image. Terrific.
