This is just a follow-up to my last image to get a comparison between winter and summer plumage. As you can see, a rather subdued overall colour, not as eye catching, but hey ho.
Taken on the same day as my previous shot.

Maybe not the most striking plumage on the ground but it might look really interesting in flight.

Very nice image especially when clicked for full effect. I think the fine gradation in tones in these type of otherwise drab colored birds. They are not attention grabbers like some of the more strikingly colored birds, but they are beautiful in their own right.
