A few weeks ago there was a huge storm. The wind speed was measured at 131 km/h and the rain was coming down as a deluge. This was the time when our Loon was looking for a body of water to land. One empty parking lot covered with water looked like a lake or a pond. He crash landed there and damaged some of the flight feathers. He was picked up by animal rescue people, checked out and released next day. He is improving fast fishing and doing short flights just above the water. One image from yesterday.

I guess this is the same Loon that took a shine to your patch. Lovely details as always Karl. Hopefully, it will be able to move on to its normal haunts soon.

Great eye contact and pose. Great to hear that people helped him and that the Loon is recovering from the crash-landing. Fingers crossed that he makes a full recovery.

Tough circumstances for him to be there, but you are making the most of the opportunity. This is a very nice wing-flap.

Poor thing, I hope it recovers and gets on its way, but meanwhile you're getting some great shots and this is a lovely wing flap pose!

Looks like a good opportunity to get some terrific images while also hoping that this beautiful specimen continues to improve to full health. Nice wing flap image with great exposure.
