Hi Peter, It impresses me as a Tennessee Warbler but I might be wrong. I have a collection of both Nashville and Tennessee Warblers from one winter virtually shows them in the snow which is very unique. Regardless it is a very nice image in an interesting plumage. The light is very nice as well.

A fine image, Peter. Karl may be correct here, as the Nashville has a white eye-ring in all plumage stages, while the Tennessee has a white supercillum, in all of their plumage stages- anyway, a good warbler photo.

I'll leave the ID to the warbler experts, but whichever it is, its a beautiful image and I love the way its peeping out at you from the safety of the tree cover!

Very sweet, I like the bit of sun on his face giving the catchlight.

+1 on all of Karl's points.  I also believe this to be a Tennessee Warbler for several ID reasons not the least of which is that the Nashville, which I just captured as recently as today, always has a very distinctive white eye ring.

A beautiful specimen, whatever it is, with a dream setting and light.
