Another image from southern New Jersey. The Prothonotary was not a "target" bird on my stay at NJ but this one presented itself when I unknowingly came too close to a nest site area at the edge of a wooded, fresh water swampy area. It stayed at eye level or near the ground, this being one of my 3 favorite poses from the brief encounter.

Beauty shot of my favorite Warbler. I like them for two reasons; appearance and the beautiful song they have probably the best among Warblers..

Agree! A favorite with me- so pretty with uplifted head and his eye on you. Amazing color!
