Just returned from a 3 day trip to southern New Jersey to photograph a few new species. Cloudy and drizzle with "gale force " winds were challenging each day I was there, but fortunately the sun peeked through long enough that I was able to shoot this warbler where I was somewhat protected from the wind while in a wooded area.

Super pose and light on this Warbler. Looks like the trip was worth it Warren, despite the challenging conditions.

Great singing pose -glad you were able to endure extreme weather for this. Well worth the trouble!

Nice singing pose captured. Like the pose and background. We had one for about a week, walking distance from my house.

300 miles for me, into the worst 3 day weather conditions I've ever encountered for Spring shooting.  By the way, great looking shot of the Prothonotary Warbler.  I was going to send one from my trip to NJ but you beat me to the punch, lol.  Terrific image.

Great singing pose and angle, was this at Cape May? I heard about the wind and that it caused major problems for many birds.

Wonderful image, Warren. Sorry to hear about the poor weather- just had six days of beautiful weather here in S. Ontario.

Yes.....it was in the Cape May area. I traveled around between Ocean City to Cape May and inland depending on the species of bird I was pursuing.

Despite the weather you managed to get a great shot. I love the light and the point of shot.

With the windy conditions you describe, you did well to get anything, Warren - let alone such a nice shot as this!
