Photographed at a local lake, fortunately this Kingfisher is a little less skittish than most.

Nice perch and background and pose.. They are a tough species to get perched and posed and close.. nice work.

Lucky you- they can be incredibly difficult to get close to. Nice diagonal perch with a soft, pleasing background makes the bird stand out.

A terrific image of a usually shy bird. I must say the next cooperative Kingfisher I find will be my first. Good job to get her crest up and bill open, probably chattering. Very nice complimentary background.
