There hasn't been too many birds to photograph here during the Winter, so this image was one taken in May during the Spring Migration. North America's only all blue  species, ( females are brown), and can be somewhat elusive, as they spend much of their time in denser vegetation, but will come out to sing, as this male was doing. As with many colourful species, one really has to observe them in the " field ", to see their colours the best, and the Indigo Bunting, in my view, would be included, as such !

These little beauties are such a lovely colour, and catching this one singing in the blossoms is a nice reminder that spring is coming!

What a nice reminder of spring, and the Indigo is certainly an elusive one. Bravo for this capture.

You got a nice singing pose, great color palette and seasonal habitat elements in this image, Paul. Maybe a tad faster shutter speed to have the lower beak sharp as well.
