Hairy Woodpecker

There were a couple of hours yesterday where the clouds lightened up just slightly.  That created a very nice glow around the woodpecker feeders.
I use sections of downed trees that are drilled to stuff suet into for the woodpeckers.  This is one of those feeders.

Lovely Hairy shot- perfect typical pose. Interesting to see some black speckles around his eye-not seeing that here on the Hairys  at our feeders.In fact I wonder if it is immature with incomplete black around the eye. It is unusual, whatever the reason.
