Must have gone here a hundred times to never see an eagle. The first time I take a newbie bird photographer with me, we score. Some folks have all the luck!
Lake Jennings drinking water reservoir, Lakeside, California. The biggest problem were the many territorial ospreys terrorizing the bald eagles. I was standing in the back of a pickup truck to get over the 6 foot chain link fence preventing folks from falling off a cliff into the lake. Gear was Canon 7DII camera, Canon 100-400 II lens, handheld. Settings were manual exposure mode: F 8, ISO 1000, 1/8000th second.
