Great Egret
Gilbert, Arizona
D500, 500mm, 1/3200, f/9, ISO640

Late afternoon light on the bird with the background in shadow meant it went black when the white bird was properly exposed.

Perfect pose and great BG + light to showcase the Egret and prey. Really special image, Cindy. S curve adds dynamic feel. One of the images we all live to capture as wildlife photographers.

Excellent exposure control making a dynamic and strong image Cindy! The clarity on the head and thus the fish are first class.

Great shot, Cindy and perfect angle to see eyes of both the egret and the fish!

+1. I agree with Joe on all counts.  I would add that the fish is oriented in the best position possible for your terrific image.
