Late afternoon almost evening. The light was fading away but the head of hers was nicely lit.

A lovely view of this little lady with her raised crest glowing in the late sun, Karl. How can anyone look at her and not smile!

Great lighting for this image, plus nice tranquil colourful water, as well, Karl.

Terrific lighting really brings out the hood and overall textures and colors of this female merganser.
