Wind was in my favour so I waited about 1/2 hr for the take-off.  She/He ended up flying right over my head.

Sony A1, 600F4, 1/3200 @ F4, ISO 1000

I guess I should add all my shots with the A1 and 600mm have been hand held.

A wonderful in-flight image, Roy - the head on perspective, and eye contact with the viewer, makes for a special photograph. Everything else, excellent also. The A1 & the 600 f4 , are no doubt, a great combination for all types of bird photography.

One of those images that must be viewed large to enjoy at best. Super shot Roy!

Your patience was paid off enormously with this truly extraordinary shot.
The flight pose you captured is extraordinary and shows all the power of this magnificent rapacious.

merlinator, Head-on images can be tough. The A1 really shines. The eye contact is about perfect. Could see raising the Eagle a bit higher in the frame--if able.
