Broad-winged Hawk
Arenal, Costa Rica
D500, 500mm, 1/320, f/5.6, ISO4000, cropped

I had to go to Costa Rica to get my first Broad-winged Hawk
This one was sitting on the broken limb overlooking a stream, photographed from a suspension walking bridge which gave me something close to eye level with it.

Excellent image. It is the most common Raptor in Ontario but I rarely see one for some reason.

Very nice composition and light on this woodland raptor. A beautiful setting and pose. Hard to believe you went all the way to Costa Rica to get a fairly common raptor here in the northeast.

A fine image, with a great perch, pose, and lighting all captured here.
