While photographing near a favorite bird feeder I noticed this male Northern Cardinal visiting this branch on several occasions. I was fortunate to be able to see him approaching it for the final time and took a few shots of him drinking the melting snow from a recent snow storm.  Cropped a bit as it appears more effective when seen more closely.

A great close-up, Warren- certainly a unique image of avian behaviour .
