There were seven Sparrow species at this spot which is uncommon in January. Most were either deep in the shrubs or very skittish, except this species.

The Sparrow species which I always associate with Winter. A classic pose for this little beauty fluffed up against the cold air.

An excellent photo, as usual, Karl; the multi-coloured background is a very nice element in this image .

So chipper-looking! Great shot on top of the bush. So nice to see in the winter.

What a wonderful Sparrow!
Very beautiful shot, with really very pleasant colors, the background so uniform is really excellent and the berries are a must.

Great winter light, details and the berries add to it.
